Na Wyspie Banks badano kopce mrozowe, nieuporządkowane kręgi i nieuporządkowane pasy glebowe. Przekroje poprzeczne tych formacji wskazują na kierunek ruchu mas, który je wytworzył. Sugerowane są hipotezy dotyczące ich powstania. Autor ma nadzieję, że opis pomoże w rozpoznaniu tych struktur w kontekście kopalnych zjawisk peryglacjalnych.
