The results of observations of the movement of five rock blocks are presented. One of the most interesting findings of this study was that each of the five blocks should be treated as a separate unit with its own specific rate of movement, although this individuality is expressed in a very systematic manner. Between 1967 and 1972, the surveys were conducted twice a year. These studies clearly showed that movement during the colder months of the year is significantly greater than in summer. In fact, of all movement recorded during the years of observation, over 95% occurred between early/mid-August and early April. Therefore, it seems likely that most of the movement of the arable blocks is the result of periglacial activity. Measuring the rate of movement of rock blocks is relatively easy, although it requires persistence, patience, and diligence.
