Pomiary rozmiarów i orientacji głazików znajdujących się w centralnych oraz zewnętrznych partiach lobów sugerują, że ich powstanie jest wynikiem lepkoplastycznego przepływu, a ich rozmieszczenie uwarunkowane spękaniami podłoża skalnego. Wyróżniono dwa typy lobów: otoczone głazami oraz porośnięte roślinnością. Te ostatnie, będące mniej aktywną formą pierwszego typu, prawdopodobnie pochodzą z zony IV, podczas gdy większość lobów otoczonych głazami datowana jest na okres małej epoki lodowej.
