Omówiono główne pozycje proponowanego planu badań Komisji Geomorfologii Peryglacjalnej Międzynarodowej Unii Geograficznej. Pierwszy dział obejmuje kartograficzne przedstawienia faktów peryglacjalnych na całym globie. Drugi dział reprezentuje problematyka ogólna: ziemie strukturalne, wietrzenie mechaniczne i chemiczne, procesy stokowe ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem spłukiwania, ekwiplanacja i zrównania stokowe, niecki korazyjne i doliny asymetryczne, skałki rezydualne, zagłębienia typu pingo i pochodzące z degradacji zmarzliny, parowy geliwacyjne, peryglacjalne modelowanie rzeźby akumulacji glacialnej, modelowanie wybrzeży, sedymentacja peryglacjalna. Następny, najbardziej syntetyczny, a więc i najważniejszy dział badań to problematyka regionalna oparta na interpretacji faktów w zakresie czasowym i przestrzennym. Należą do tego działu: zasięg zmarzliny, miąższość strefy czynnej, konfrontacja poszczególnych okresów zlodowaceń z peryglacjalnymi oraz liczba faz peryglacjalnych w okresach glacjalnych, zwłaszcza w ostatnim, facje klimatyczne i morfogenetyczne w obrębie pojedynczych faz peryglacjalnych, zróżnicowanie piętna peryglacjalnego w obrazie rzeźby, współczesne obszary peryglacjalne z wyróżnieniem szczegółowych stref, zastosowania praktyczne badań peryglacjalnych, zagadnienia terminologiczne. Wreszcie ostatni dział stanowią poczynania organizacyjne: służba informacyjna w zakresie kart bibliograficznych i artykułów przeglądowych, organizacja redakcji peryglacjalnej mapy ziemi i organizacja prezentacji prac Komisji na Kongresie w Sztokholmie.
