ORIGINAL TITLE: Observations sur le remplissage des fentes de gel

Some infilling material of ice-wedges was submitted to detailed mechanical analysis completed by the determination of cation exchange capacity of the clay. One of the most typical materials was taken in thin section for micromorphological study. Field and laboratory observations clearly show the complexity of filling up phenomena which correspond to several climatic - periglacial and interglacial phases. Particularly, the interglacial phenomena are to be considered as the relics of climatic and pedological processes which may have been completely removed by erosion above the ice-wedges.
