Abstract

Article in French.

ORIGINAL TITLE: Cartes des formations périglaciaires actuelles et pléistocènes en territoire de l'U.R.S.S.

The article describes two maps of periglacial formations, highlighting differences in denudation and accumulation across three regions. It emphasises freeze–thaw soil processes in the formation of polygonal, solifluction and thermokarstic structures. A typology of morphogenetic structures is presented, and further research is called for, especially regarding climate changes during the Pleistocene and Holocene.
