This article presents the results of paleobotanical research at the Witów site. The study includes palynological and macroremain analysis, with sediment profiles collected from five outcrops and drilling. The research at Witów led to the reconstruction of vegetation and climate changes during the Late Glacial period and the establishment of dune stratigraphy based on paleobotanical data. Five periods were distinguished in pollen diagrams: the Oldest Dryas (with the older phase Ia-1 and the younger Ia-2), the Bölling, the Older Dryas, the Alleröd, and the Younger Dryas (with the older phase III-1 and the younger phase III-2). The Oldest Dryas was a period of treeless tundra with willow and Betula nana thickets in the older phase and Hippophaë concentrations in the younger phase. In the Bölling, scattered birch forests spread around Witów. Sea buckthorn was abundant. The Older Dryas period was characterized by sparser vegetation, resembling tundra, with isolated birch trees. In Alleröd, birch-pine forests first developed, followed by pine. During the Younger Dryas, steppe communities with Artemisia predominated, with juniper abundant. The polar forest boundary shifted south of Witów, but pine and birch persisted for a long time. The Holocene vegetation succession began with the development of pine forests.
