From Sargon To Narām-Sîn: some remarks on Akkadian military activity in the II nd half of the III rd millennium bc. The example of eastern campaigns

Abstrakt

Niniejszy artykuł omawia fenomen akadyjskich działań militarnych na wschodzie w czasie panowania następujących władców akadyjskich – Sargona, Rīmuša, Maništušu oraz Narām-Sîna. Autor artykułu opisuje przebieg akadyjskiej ekspansji militarnej próbując scharakteryzować jej tło kulturowe. Zwraca uwagę na jej podstawy ekonomiczne i religijne, które stanowiły element strategii imperialnej. Prezentowany materiał sugeruje, że, w tym procesie, istotne rolę odgrywała wojownicza bogini Aštar, pojmowana w kategoriach czynnika religijno-ideologicznego konstytuującego akadyjską ekspansję. Rzeczony wykładnia zdaje się być niedoceniania we współczesnej literaturze przedmiotu.
