From the perspective of a deaf researcher and observer of social and cultural life, the word 'integration' means a more specific utopia on the ground of Polish social and cultural reality in relation to groups of people with disabilities.
Stereotypes resulting from the perception of people with disabilities strongly affect the perception of the deaf community and do not facilitate the organization of strictly cultural and artistic exhibitions in prestigious public places such as a museum.
The article describes two very important groundbreaking exhibitions of the deaf community, without references to the stereotype of disability that justifies the strategy of heterogeneity in the art world.
