Zróżnicowanie intensywności akumulacji lessów vistuliańskich w Polsce i na Węgrzech

Wskaźniki intensywności akumulacji podstawowych jednostek stratygraficznych lessów vistulianu wyznaczono na podstawie datowania metodą termoluminescencji. Intensywność akumulacji w górnym pleniglacjale, poprzedzona interpleniglacjalną poprawą klimatu, była 10-krotnie większa niż we wczesnym glacjale i około 5-krotnie większa niż w dolnym pleniglacjale. Rytm zmian intensywności akumulacji był podobny na obu porównywanych obszarach, tj. uwarunkowany czynnikami determinującymi ogólny rytm ewolucyjny w cyklu glacjalnym. Intensywność akumulacji lessu na obszarach naddunajskich w środkowych Węgrzech była znacznie wyraźniejsza niż w południowej Polsce, co wynikało z faktu, że Dunaj naniósł z innych regionów Europy duże ilości materiału źródłowego do formowania lessu.
