ORIGINAL TITLE: Mutations en cours dans la morphogénèse périglaciaire au Nord-Ouest du Spitsberg (région du Kongsfjord)
In the Kongsfjord region of northern Spitsbergen, the contemporary geomorphological evolution of slopes and flat surfaces under periglacial processes was studied. Warm-exposed slopes undergo more intense transformations than cold-exposed ones, forming new geomorphological features, including grèzes and cryokarst valleys. Topography, slope exposure and water drainage play key roles, and the observed processes may reflect both natural postglacial evolution and effects of contemporary climate change.
