ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES

The journal charges neither a submission nor a publication fee.

The decision on the publication is made by the Editorial Board, based on double-blind reviews.

Full-text journal articles are freely available for everyone to read, download and reuse in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivatives License (CC BY-NC-ND).

 

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

Style sheet
Submissions should be formatted according to the following guidelines.

1. Please submit your article together with:
— An abstract in English (200-350 words) and the English title of the article; if the article is written in a language other than English, the English title should correspond to the original title; if relevant, add the name of the translator;
— keywords in Polish and English;
— bibliography;
— alphabetical list of names mentioned in the text and bibliography (the so-called blind index);
— a short biographical note including: the author’s research interests and most important publications;
— the author’s affiliation (full name of the organization and its address);
— email address;
— ORCID;
— a doctoral student should present a letter of recommendation from his or her supervisor.

 

2. General guidelines for formatting the text:
— font: Times New Roman, size: 12, line spacing: 1.5, fully justified;
— all quotations (both prose and poetry) that are longer than 1.5 line should be blocked; please leave an empty line before and after the quotation and do not change the font size. Please do not use italics or inverted commas for blocked quotes;
— please do not use a non-breaking space (CTRL+SHIFT+SPACE).

3. Footnotes should ONLY be used for additional information; these include:
— comments on the views and ideas presented in the main text (if needed, use parenthetical references);
— references to other fragments of the article;
— polemics, digressions, definitions, etc.

4. In-text references — indicate the source of a given quotation, opinion, statistics, etc. in the main text right after the fragment in question. Use parenthetical references, as in the examples below.

Examples of bibliographical entries and parenthetical references:
A. a book by one, two, or three authors

Preventing ghost-writing and guest authorship

In order to prevent ghost-writing and guest authorship, which are considered to be examples of academic dishonesty, the editors of “Studies in Polish Literature” declare that all instances of ghost-writing and guest authorship as well as other forms of violating the academic code of conduct will be immediately reported to relevant bodies (the academic institution with which the author is affiliated, academic societies, associations of academic editors, etc.).
