THE MORPHOLOGY AND EVOLUTION OF STATES OF MATTER: LYRICISM – NARRATIVITY – POETIC NARRATIVE IN THE PROSE POEM AND BEYOND

MORPHOLOGIE ET ÉVOLUTION DES ÉTATS D’AGRÉGATION : LYRISME – NARRATION – RÉCIT POÉTIQUE DANS LE POÈME EN PROSE ET AU-DELÀ DES GENRES

Abstract

The article discusses the relationship between lyricism and the narrativity of the prose poem and considers the extent to which the complex nature of this relationship contributes to a better understanding of what a poetic narrative [le récit poétique] is as a literary form. It also reflects on whether poetic narration in slam poetry can be regarded as a continuation of the poetic narrative found in the prose poem. The article advances a hypothesis that the emergence of slam poetry can be interpreted primarily as a reaction to the dispersion of the poetic “I” caused by the hegemony of free verse.

Dans cet article, l’autrice aborde la relation entre le lyrisme et la narrativité du poème en prose, et considère dans quelle mesure la nature complexe de cette relation permet de mieux comprendre ce qu’est le récit poétique dans cette forme littéraire. Elle se demande également si le récit poétique dans un texte de slam peut être considéré comme une continuation du récit poétique du poème en prose. L’autrice émet l’hypothèse que l’émergence du slam peut plutôt être interprétée comme une réaction à la dispersion du « je » poétique provoquée par l’hégémonie du vers libre.
